Kevin and Diana have been involved with the annual Thanksgiving Dinner for some time. This year Diana is unable to participate so Kevin found several people to replace her.  Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers, who recognized the great need to continue this beloved island tradition. We applaud all the volunteers as they continue this wonderful holiday event.

Those who have time to bake, a willing heart or just want help in any way are the folks that make the Community Thanksgiving Dinner happen. We thank them and all of the many, many volunteers who have made the event into what it is today. In fact, over 120 volunteers helped make the successful event possible in 2021. We could not accomplish this task without the help of so many people.
To those who have helped in the past and those who are stepping up now and in the future, our community truly thanks you!

Jim and Minnie Kynch

In 1999, Jim and Minnie Kynch began the wonderful tradition of providing Friday Harbor a free Thanksgiving Dinner. The event grew through the years both in attendees and volunteers. In 2014, after 15 years at the Grange, the Dinner moved to the Mullis Community Center where it has remained a huge event.
The Kynchs are admired and respected for their volunteer spirit and love of community.   Jim and Minnie, thank you ever so much for all you have done!
